National Groundhog Day
On Thursday, Ivana's Hostmum Mary invited us for her birthday to go with them to the Two Rivers Wildlife Park to see the Groundhog Ceremony. It was great! We went there early in the morning and the Highways weren't too bad. When we arrived, we went trough the park and saw lots of animals! Coyotes, and arctic Fox, foxes, rabbits and more! The ceremony began at 11:22AM, it says, that if the groundhog sees it's shadow, we will have 6 more weeks of winter and if not there will be an early spring. So, the groundhog didn't see it's shadow and we will have an early spring :( But after the ceremony we were interview by a journalist of the Cape Breton post and the next day we were in the Newspapers!
After our interview we went on a sleigh ride around the park and saw the little black bear! He was really really cute and I took some nice pictures of him! After that we went home, because it was getting really cold, but it was a really nice event!
For supper we met the new Internationals for the second semester at the Hotel North. It was a nice evening with a nice little surprise party for Mary and Cake!!
